About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workpack Engineer to support the delivery of a major industrial piping project.
The role involves developing and coordinating detailed workpacks to ensure engineering information is translated into clear, practical instructions for site construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage workpacks for piping and mechanical construction activities.
- Review P&IDs, isometrics, drawings, specifications and engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Construction, Quality and HSE teams.
- Ensure workpacks include the required materials, drawings, procedures, inspections and testing requirements.
- Support construction planning, sequencing and execution.
- Update workpacks in line with design changes and site requirements.
- Resolve technical and documentation queries during construction.
- Maintain accurate documentation and workpack records.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Workpack Engineer, Piping Engineer, Construction Engineer or similar.
- Strong understanding of piping installation and mechanical construction.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics and engineering drawings.
- Experience preparing construction workpacks.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workpacks in a fast-paced site environment.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, process or industrial projects is advantageous.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Relevant construction or engineering experience will be considered.
- Valid Safety Passport required.
- Relevant site experience/certification advantageous.
