Working Foreman

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Working Foreman to join a school refurbishment project in Selston, Nottinghamshire.
Working for a well-established principal contractor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a straightforward refurbishment project within a school environment.
This is a genuinely hands-on role, so we're looking for someone with a trade background who is comfortable leading from the front. You'll be supervising a small number of subcontractors while also getting involved with the works whenever required to help keep the project on programme.
The Role
The project includes a range of refurbishment, structural remediation and minor civils works, including:
- Minor brickwork and blockwork
- Formwork
- Small civils works
- Exploratory and opening-up works
- General refurbishment works
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day running of the site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and daily site activities.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Carry out site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Maintain site health & safety standards and daily records.
- Liaise with the Contracts Manager and subcontractors.
- Get involved with the works where required to help maintain programme.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Working Foreman or General Foreman.
- Trade background such as Joinery, Bricklaying, Groundworks, General Building or similar.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Experience delivering refurbishment or small civils projects.
- Previous experience on schools is desired
- Happy to remain hands-on throughout the project.
