Working Foreman (Joiner)

Location: Edinburgh City Centre

We are currently seeking an experienced Working Site Supervisor to join a prestigious construction project in Edinburgh City Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Supervisor who enjoys leading from the front — managing a team of Joiners while also getting involved on the tools when required.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Joiners on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a working supervisory position, so you'll be expected to manage and coordinate the team while also assisting with joinery duties as required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and coordinating a team of Joiners
• Working alongside the team and assisting with joinery duties
• Ensuring work is completed to the required quality and programme
• Coordinating daily activities and allocating tasks
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site
• Liaising with Site Management and other trades
• Monitoring progress and reporting any issues
• Leading by example and maintaining a positive site environment

Requirements

• SSSTS minimum qualification
• Valid CSCS card
• Proven experience supervising Joiners on construction projects
• Strong joinery background with the ability to work on the tools
• Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
• Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on
• Reliable, organised and professional approach
