Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £ 314.29 per day

Job Responsibilities
  • Carry out surveys and investigations to identify project requirements.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings and production information for planned maintenance projects.
  • Submit required statutory applications, including Building Control and Planning where applicable.
  • Liaise with residents, contractors, consultants, internal teams and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare tender documentation, including KPI requirements, and support procurement activities.
  • Work with the Procurement and Legal teams to appoint contractors and finalise contracts.
  • Manage projects from feasibility through to completion and post-project review.
  • Lead pre-contract and monthly contract meetings, monitoring progress, quality and performance.
  • Act as the lead surveyor for major projects, including complex repair and maintenance works.
  • Manage contract variations, expenditure approvals and cost control.
  • Ensure all projects comply with health and safety requirements, including current CDM regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation, technical standards and industry best practice through continued professional development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and support continuous improvement across the housing maintenance function.
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Relevant experience in housing maintenance, surveying, project management or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing construction or planned maintenance projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to prepare specifications, drawings and tender documentation.
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of contract administration, procurement processes and cost control.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements, including CDM regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Valid CV.
  • Completed Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Two years of references.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
  • Experience working within a local authority housing environment.
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance programmes and housing asset management.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience managing major repair projects and complex works.
