We are seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Controller to join our reputable client’s established dealership in Southend, Essex.   • OTE of up to £55,000 with achievable performance bonuses
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Saturdays on a 1-in-3 rota, 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Duties of the Workshop Controller:
  • Oversee a team of 19 technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
  • Manage workshop operations to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Organise daily work schedules and allocate tasks to technicians
  • Ensure workshop targets and KPIs are achieved or exceeded
  • Liaise with reception and service advisors to provide accurate customer updates and technical explanations
  • Maintain high standards of workshop organisation, safety, and quality
Requirements of the Workshop Controller:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or in a similar supervisory role within a dealership or automotive workshop
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Automotive technical knowledge and understanding of workshop processes
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
