We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Workshop Controller in Edmonton. This is a highly respected dealership seeking an experienced professional to lead their workshop team. The successful Workshop Controller will have the opportunity to develop their managerial skills within a stable and professional environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ranging from £36,000 to £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Monday to Friday working pattern, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
  • Alternate Saturday mornings, 8:30 am to 1 pm

Duties of a Workshop Controller:
  • Managing daily workshop operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Supervising and supporting a team of five technicians
  • Planning and scheduling workflow to optimise workshop profitability
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Liaising with service advisors and parts department to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements of a Workshop Controller:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or similar supervisory role within the automotive sector
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of automotive repair processes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proactive approach to workshop management and customer service
