We are recruiting for a Workshop Controller in Brigg on behalf of a reputable independent garage. The Workshop Controller role offers a vital leadership position within a well-established team, delivering operational excellence and driving workshop efficiency. The successful Workshop Controller will benefit from a competitive basic salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience, and will work a 40-hour week with occasional weekend work required.

Duties of a Workshop Controller:
  • Assigning work to vehicle technicians to ensure efficient workshop operation
  • Planning incoming work, managing technician schedules, and allocating resources
  • Ensuring productivity is maximised and deadlines are met
  • Completing administrative tasks such as invoicing and job cards
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for customer communication
  • Liaising between the front desk and workshop teams
  • Sourcing and ordering vehicle parts
  • Assisting in other areas of the business as required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller within the Motor Trade, or a background as a technician or service advisor with workshop control experience
  • Proven track record of performance and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • Ability to lead and motivate a busy workshop team to maximise performance
  • Living within a commutable distance of Brigg, such as Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Market Rasen, or Brigg
