Earning Potential – Salary:
£45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (if productive)
Overview
We're looking for a Workshop Foreman to join a well-established commercial vehicle specialist in Warrington.
This is a leadership role – managing a team of 18 technicians and 2 apprentices, providing technical support, and ensuring the workshop runs smoothly.
Our client is a multi-accredited employer with high staff retention, manufacturer training, and genuine progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of 18 technicians and 2 apprentices
- Providing technical support and guidance to the workshop team
- Ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Managing workshop workflow and allocating jobs efficiently
- Maintaining health and safety standards across the workshop
- Supporting the Service Manager with daily operations
- Assisting with diagnostics and technical queries where required
- Option to be productive if desired – not mandatory
- Proven experience leading teams of technicians in a workshop environment (essential)
- Strong technical knowledge of HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (essential)
- Ability to provide technical support and guidance to a large team
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Full, current UK driving licence – HGV licence beneficial but not essential
