Location: Kettering
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (flexible start & finish times)
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (dependant in experience)
OTE: £41,563–£47,500 (based on 5hrs overtime)
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, repair and servicing of equipment ensuring that customers receive a high-quality and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain and service materials handling equipment.
- Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
- Diagnose faults and repair or replace faulty components.
- Request and order parts using a PDA.
- Report to the Service Co-ordinator regarding scheduled work and job progress.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers.
- Follow all Service Team procedures and processes.
- Continuously develop your skills and technical knowledge to ensure effective performance in the role.
- Attend training courses and development programmes as required.
- Follow all Health & Safety responsibilities, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- ESSENTIAL: current experience as a forklift engineer / plant fitter / agricultural engineer / HGV technician
- Experience using diagnostic equipment
- Strong electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
- Technical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
