Workshop Forklift Engineer - Sheffield

Basic Salary: £28,000–£32,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join the team at our Sheffield depot.
This is a hands-on workshop position within a busy team, so we are looking for someone who is confident working independently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and maintaining a hire fleet of forklifts.
- Carrying out LOLER inspections and associated checks.
- Diagnosing and completing repairs and maintenance work.
- Working primarily on Combilift equipment.
- Ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard and is ready for hire.
- Working independently and managing your workload effectively.
- Supporting the wider workshop team as required.
Experience you will need:
- Previous engineering experience working with forklifts, plant machinery or HGVs.
- Mechanical and fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance.
- LOLER inspection experience would be beneficial.
- The ability to work independently without requiring significant supervision.
- A practical, hands-on approach and a strong focus on quality and safety.
Your Package:
- Basic Salary: £28,000–£32,000
- Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday (40hrs)
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x, although there is currently no regular overtime available.
