Shift: Day Shift, 40 Hours per week (weekends on rotation)
Overtime: Available & Optional
Location: Thurso
We are currently looking for a Workshop Labourer to join our client’s dedicated Engineering team, supporting the workshop in maintaining a high standard of service and ensuring the garage operates efficiently.
Workshop Labourer Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working within a workshop or engineering environment would be preferred but is not essential
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence would be preferred
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Workshop Labourer Main Duties:
- Actively promote and adhere to Health & Safety policies
- Assist Technicians and Engineers with general workshop duties
- Keep the workshop, stores and surrounding areas clean and tidy
- Moving tools, equipment and parts around the workshop
- Assist with the preparation of buses and vehicles for maintenance
- Cleaning and maintaining workshop equipment
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Carry out small maintenance and DIY repairs
- Maintain and decorate buildings, including offices and workspaces
- Dispose of waste and used materials in accordance with company procedures
- Carry out general housekeeping duties across the PSV garage
- Any additional tasks specified by the Management team
