Workshop Operative

A large manufacturing company based in Witham are looking for a Workshop Operative to join their expanding business. They are able to offer good solid work with plenty of overtime. Immediate starts available.

Hourly rate is up to £13.50ph and the hours are 6.30am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday. Overtime paid on a Friday which is x1.5 over 42 hours worked.

Workshop Operative duties:-

• Assembling steel frames
• Reading from basic engineering drawings
• Using various hand tools including drills, hammers etc
• Using tape measures to measure and line up the products
• Making steel windows and internal steel screens
• Checking quality of product including paint

Skills & experience needed for this Workshop Operative role:-

• You will need experience using hand tools such as drills, hammers etc
• Be able to read from basic engineering drawings
• Have a good attention to detail
• This is a physically demanding role so you will need to be physically fit

This is a temporary role for a few months which could then turn permanent for the right person.
