An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join a large and reputable plant company. This is a workshop-based role maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing a wide range of heavy plant machinery and equipment, ensuring all machinery is maintained to the highest standards and is safe and fit for purpose.
The Role:
- Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on heavy plant machinery and equipment
- Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs
- Complete component rebuilds, strip-downs, and refurbishment of machinery and plant equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools
- Carry out safety inspections and pre-hire checks
- Ensure all equipment complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Professionally recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Plant Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a similar role within the last 2 years
- Experience working on heavy plant machinery or similar equipment within a workshop environment
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge
- Confident with fault finding and diagnostics
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS Card advantageous but not essential
- £44,642 salary
- Overtime paid at 1.4
