Are you an experienced Automotive Technician looking to take the next step into the HGV industry?

This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified Vehicle Technicians wanting a long-term career in commercial vehicles and trailers. If you hold your NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, our client can provide the training and support needed to transition from automotive into HGV and trailer maintenance - with increased earning potential once fully trained.

You'll join a well-established workshop team in Scunthorpe, working alongside experienced HGV professionals in a supportive and modern workshop environment.

You'll be involved in:

• Routine servicing and maintenance on trailers and commercial vehicles
• Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis and repair
• Pre-MOT inspections and DVSA-compliant repairs
• Working on braking systems, suspension, lighting, hydraulics, and trailer components
• Using workshop diagnostic equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Completing maintenance records and inspection paperwork accurately
• Supporting workshop operations as part of a strong team environment

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential)
• Experience as an Automotive Technician, Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or similar
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn the HGV industry
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Previous HGV or trailer experience
• Welding or fabrication experience
• IRTEC accreditation
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence

• Starting salary from £40,000+
