XYZ Turner role paying from £17.00 per hour, with real ownership over the parts you produce.
You'll be trusted to programme and run the XYZ lathe, turning technical drawings into precision components.

This is a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of complex marine and defence equipment, working across superyacht, commercial and military sectors. All products are designed and built in-house using the latest materials and techniques.

As an XYZ Turner, your responsibilities will include:

• Programme and operate the XYZ lathe and other machine tools to produce precision components
• Interpret technical drawings accurately, including occasional tight tolerances
• Inspect your own work before it reaches the quality department
• Use hand and power tools for assembly, finishing and minor adjustments
• Troubleshoot general engineering issues as they arise
• Handle raw materials safely and efficiently

As an XYZ Turner, your experience will include:

• Proven experience as a Turner
• Previous experience on an XYZ machine preferred but not essential
• Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings
• Sound mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures and machine maintenance
• A methodical, systematic approach with strong organisational and numeracy skills
• Comfortable working independently and to a consistently high standard
