Yard Administrator (Temporary Position)

Our client, a dynamic player in the automotive industry, is seeking a Yard Administrator to support their busy site in Corby. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to contribute to a well-established team and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.

Role Overview:
The Yard Administrator will play a vital role in the operational efficiency of the organisation. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and data entry skills, a flexible approach, and a passion for the motor industry.

Shift Patterns:
The role operates on a rotating shift basis, with the following options available:

  • 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general yard office duties, including data entry and paperwork management.
  • Upload files to internal systems and respond to telephone and email inquiries.
  • Create and maintain records of incoming vehicles and coordinate with the site regarding any rejections.
  • Manage the movement schedule and vehicle tracking.
  • Handle customer returns for repairs, ensuring a quick turnaround.
  • Undertake various ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Previous administrative experience (essential).
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel (essential).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (essential).
  • Excellent numerical and literacy skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of work.
  • A genuine passion for the automotive industry.
