Yard Operative

Pay Rate: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking Yard Operatives to join a well-established recycling company based in Baldock.

This is a hands-on temporary position working within a busy recycling facility. You will be responsible for sorting recyclable materials, maintaining a safe working environment, and supporting the smooth running of the yard's daily operations.

The ideal candidate will be physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment.

• Sorting and separating recyclable materials on the picking line.

• Identifying and removing non-recyclable materials.

• Maintaining a clean and organised working area.

• Assisting with general yard duties as required.

• Following all health and safety procedures.

• Working safely around machinery and site vehicles.

• Supporting the team to ensure efficient daily operations.

• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, warehouse, manufacturing or yard environments is beneficial but not essential.

• Physically fit and happy carrying out manual work.

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

• Able to work well as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to transport.

• £13.00 - £13.50 per hour (depending on experience).
