Yard Operative

We're currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a busy and friendly company based in Garretts Green. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is customer-focused, and is looking for a long-term position with opportunities for pay progression.

Pay

💷 £12.71 per hour to start

• Opportunity to increase to £13.00–£13.50 per hour following a successful probation period.

💰 Weekly pay

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Saturday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Please note that these are long shifts, and there may be occasions where you'll receive a day off during the week to balance your hours.

The Role

As a Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring it remains organised, safe, and efficient. You'll also have occasional interaction with customers, so a friendly and professional attitude is essential.

Duties include:

• General yard duties.
• Assisting with loading and unloading materials.
• Maintaining a clean and organised yard.
• Providing excellent customer service when required.
• Occasional driving of company vehicles (limited while working through the agency).

• A positive and reliable attitude.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Friendly and personable with good customer service skills.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
