Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things organised, safe, and running smoothly? We're looking for a proactive and reliable Yards person to support the day-to-day operations of our depot. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring materials, plant, equipment, and deliveries are managed efficiently, helping our operational teams deliver excellent service to our customers and projects.
As a Yards person, you'll be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials and equipment, maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating deliveries and plant movements, and ensuring the depot remains safe, clean, and well organised. You'll also support inventory management, process orders and delivery documentation, inspect incoming plant and equipment, and help maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping across the site.

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience working within a yard, depot, warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
- Experience of stock control, materials management, and ordering processes.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, particularly around deliveries, vehicle movements, and manual handling.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage competing priorities.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues, suppliers, and visitors.
- Basic IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
