Yardman/Labourer

The Role

Pace Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a Yardman / Labourer to support operations within a busy rail and civil engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, reliable, and experienced working within construction, civils, rail, or industrial yard environments.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and organised yard, supporting deliveries, loading/unloading materials, and assisting site teams and plant operations as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and operational
• Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
• Assisting with stock control and material management
• Supporting plant operators and site teams
• Carrying out general labouring duties
• Moving equipment and materials safely around the yard/site
• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
• Supporting vehicle checks and general upkeep of welfare areas

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Labourer or Yard Operative
• CSCS Card preferred
• PTS advantageous but NOT a must (for rail environments)
• Forklift or Telehandler tickets advantageous but not a MUST
• Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
