Yards Person

A position has become available for a Yard Person based at our depot near Wyboston.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our growing team on a full-time basis. Overtime is available, and there may also be occasions where overnight stays are required when carrying out installations.

We are a leading supplier of non-mechanical plant and equipment for both sale and hire, serving the construction, civil engineering, and utilities sectors. Our product range includes traffic management barriers, hoarding and fencing systems, temporary access mats and portable roadways, height restriction kits, trench covers, trench sheets, and much more.

About the Role

As a Yard Person, you will be part of an established team responsible for:

• Picking and packing small and large items
• Quality checking and cleaning equipment (including wet work)
• Manual handling of products
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
• Assisting with product installations at customer sites across the UK
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
• Liaising professionally with customers during site installations

A Counterbalance Forklift Licence or 7.5-tonne driving licence would be advantageous. Salary will reflect relevant skills and experience.

This role would suit someone who is:

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic
• Keen to learn and develop their knowledge within the construction industry
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required

Full training and PPE will be provided.

Location

The role is based at our depot near Wyboston, Bedfordshire, with good access from major road networks. It would suit candidates living in or around Bedford, St Neots, or the surrounding areas. There will also be opportunities to travel to sites across the UK to assist with product installations.
