A large 3-form entry primary school in Hayes is looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join the school from October 2026 on a maternity cover contract through to July 2027.

This is a full-time class teaching role within KS1, working as part of an established year group team. The school is large and has a number of classes across each year group, meaning there may also be opportunities for teachers looking for a longer-term position within the school in the new academic year.

The role

• Full-time Year 1 class teacher
• Maternity cover from October 2026 to July 2027
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Work alongside the year group and wider teaching team
• Maintain effective classroom management and high expectations
• Support pupils' academic and personal development

Requirements

• QTS
• Primary teaching experience
