ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and community-focused faith-based primary school in North West London seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a maternity cover basis (interviews taking place ASAP).
This full-time, fixed-term position offers the opportunity to teach a well-established Year 2 class within a nurturing and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policies and values.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Be a reflective practitioner with a proactive approach to professional development.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider school community.
