Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference?
We are working in partnership with a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the Blandford Forum area to recruit a Year 4 Class Teacher to join their dedicated team from January 2027.
This welcoming provision supports primary-aged pupils who have experienced barriers to learning due to social, emotional and behavioural needs. Class sizes are small, allowing staff to build positive relationships and provide personalised support that enables pupils to re-engage with education.
The RoleAs the Year 4 Class Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the primary curriculum.
- Create a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
- Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider leadership team.
- Celebrate every achievement, helping pupils develop both academically and emotionally.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
- Has strong behaviour management skills and remains calm under pressure.
- Is resilient, patient and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.
- Experience within SEMH, SEN, PRUs or alternative provision is desirable but not essential.
- Small class sizes with excellent support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
