Year 5 Teacher – Primary School

Location: Rainham, Havering
Salary: £37,870 – £56,154 per year
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.

Teach Now is seeking a passionate and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-established primary school in Rainham, Havering. As a Year 5 Teacher, you will become part of a supportive team where collaboration, clear routines and high expectations help every child succeed.

The Role

The successful Year 5 Teacher will:

• Take responsibility for a full-time Year 5 class.
• Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and pupil progress.
• Use assessment effectively to track progress and adapt teaching.
• Work closely with SLT, support staff and parallel teachers.
• Create an inclusive classroom where all learners feel supported and challenged.

Requirements

We are looking for a Year 5 Teacher who has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in KS2, ideally in Year 5.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• A passion for raising attainment and supporting all learners.
• A positive, proactive and collaborative approach.
• A strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
