Youth Mentor

Thrive Group

Could you be the mentor who helps a young person believe in themselves again?

For many young people, school has never felt safe, supportive, or achievable. Some have faced instability, setbacks, or years of feeling misunderstood. With the right mentor, that can change.

This specialist provision in Liverpool has been created to give young people a genuine fresh start through structure, encouragement, and positive relationships. Led by an experienced senior leadership team, the setting takes a nurturing, child-centred approach focused on rebuilding confidence, supporting emotional development, and helping students re-engage with education.

As a Youth Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers both in and out of the classroom. Your ability to build trust, provide consistency, and create meaningful connections could have a lasting impact on a young person’s future.

The team includes professionals from backgrounds such as:

  • SEMH schools and alternative provision

  • Youth work and community support

  • Residential care

  • Prison and custodial services

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour or additional needs

  • A strong understanding of the challenges disadvantaged young people face

  • A calm, resilient, and consistent approach

  • A genuine passion for mentoring and helping young people succeed

If this role has caught your attention, we’d love to tell you more and support you through the next steps.

Working with Thrive Education Liverpool means being valued for who you are and the difference you make every day.
