MOT Testers carry out the annual roadworthiness test on Class 4 (cars/light vans) or Class 7 (vans up to 3.5t) vehicles. UK roles require an MOT Tester licence — applied for via DVSA after relevant maintenance experience plus passing the MOT Tester Assessment. Annual training and assessment renewals are mandatory.
