Site Managers run construction sites day to day — planning the programme, coordinating subcontractors, and controlling health and safety, quality and progress, reporting to a project or contracts manager. Employers usually ask for an SMSTS certificate, a CSCS card at manager level and a first aid at work certificate; many come up through a trade or site supervision. Early starts on site are normal.
