1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – ASD – NG3

£100–£105 per day | Full-time | September start

Class Mate is recruiting for a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a primary school in NG3.

You’ll provide consistent individual support, helping the pupil access learning, develop independence and feel confident within the classroom.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
• Support access to classroom learning and activities
• Use appropriate strategies to support communication and engagement
• Help promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team

We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children with SEND
• Experience with ASD is desirable
• Understanding of individualised support strategies
• Patient, consistent and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
