Remedy Education are looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Support Worker to support a Year 11 student with SEMH and additional learning needs within an alternative provision.
The student requires a calm, consistent and confident adult who can build trust, maintain clear boundaries and support both his learning and emotional regulation.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH
- Be confident managing challenging behaviour and using de-escalation strategies
- Build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
- Support focus, understanding and engagement with learning
- Help the student manage frustration, conflict and emotional regulation
- Encourage independence rather than creating reliance on 1:1 support
Experience within alternative provision, PRU, SEMH or specialist settings would be highly beneficial.
This role would suit an experienced SEMH TA, Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor or Youth Worker.
