Join our IT Services team as a 1st Line IT Technician at YeovilCollege, providing outstanding technical support to staff and students. You’ll be at the heart of our helpdesk, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues and supporting a wide range of devices and systems. 

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll manage helpdesk requests, build strong relationships with customers and use your initiative to resolve issues quickly and effectively. You’ll support the deployment, installation and maintenanceof desktop and mobile devices, help maintain IT security and asset records, work with suppliers and contribute to IT projects and College events. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge across a wide range of systems and software. If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real difference, build your technical experience and be part of a supportiveIT team, apply today— we’d love to hear from you.

What we'relooking for:

  • Experience configuring, supporting and troubleshooting Windows 11 desktops and laptops, with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

  • Confident using Microsoft 365 applications with excellent general IT skills

  • Level 3 IT qualification or equivalent, alongside GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on first-class customer service

  • A positive team player who can work independently, use initiative and build effective working relationships

  • Highly organised and accurate, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and meet deadlines
