We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and committed pastoral professional with academic mentoring skills, keen to develop their career at Broadway Academy. This role provides a unique opportunity to impact positively the academic, social and emotional outcomes for our KS5 students.

The Team
You will be part of the sixth form leadership team, working closely with the Deputy Head, Head of Sixth Form and teaching staff to ensure high standards of conduct, attendance and academic progress. The post holder will be actively involved in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure our students achieve their full potential whilst at Broadway Academy, preparing them for their next steps after sixth form. The team supports a flourishing enrichment programme with sixth formers volunteering as mentors to students in the lower school.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive, supportive and resilient professional who will help students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. You will lead on the management of student attendance, support and academic guidance, working with Sixth Form leaders. You will have day-to-day oversight of attendance and learning behaviours around school. You will devise and deliver a programme of academic mentoring to sixth form students designed to have a measurable impact on their academic outcomes.
You will:
* Set high expectations for students' behaviour and conduct, dealing swiftly with any issues
* Promote positive attitudes to learning through regular contact with students and parents
* Provide high levels of individual pastoral and targeted academic support to pupils including those with SEN
* Support students who are underachieving, addressing pastoral / academic issues and revision strategies
* Lead on the sixth form rewards system
* Assist the 6th form leadership team with year 12 student recruitment
* Assist with parents' evenings
* Line manage the Sixth Form Student Support Assistant
* Be committed to restorative practice
