Brand new opportunity for an experienced Account Manager (Building Services) to join a market-leading building services company, managing a prestigious portfolio of commercial properties across the City of London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced building services professional looking to take full ownership of a high-value account, develop their leadership skills and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the business.
As Account Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the account, including P&L, WIPs, client relationships, engineering teams, subcontractors, compliance, KPIs and SLAs. You will also identify and develop opportunities for additional works and projects across the portfolio.
Account Manager (Building Services) Duties:
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of prestigious commercial properties within the City of London.
- Oversee all assets and maintenance activities through the client’s CAFM system, ensuring delivery is aligned with the agreed maintenance strategy.
- Manage and develop a high-performing engineering and FM team, providing leadership, direction and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for operational and service-related matters.
- Manage the account’s Profit & Loss (P&L), budgets, WIPs and commercial performance.
- Analyse PPM schedules, asset data and service performance to identify efficiencies, cost savings and opportunities for contract growth.
- Identify, scope and deliver additional works, projects and enhanced service opportunities.
- Ensure full statutory, regulatory and contractual compliance across all FM operations.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and ensure all actions are completed within agreed timescales.
- Manage subcontractors and specialist contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain agreed KPIs and SLAs, ensuring consistent service performance.
- Investigate service failures and implement effective, sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure internal audits are completed in line with company policies and standards.
- Produce and review operational and commercial reports for both the client and senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement across the account, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and profitability.
- Qualified in electrical engineering, electrical installations or mechanical engineering — C&G, NVQ, EAL or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' management experience within commercial building services/facilities management.
- Strong technical building services background.
- Proven experience managing commercial properties and engineering teams.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing P&L and budgets.
- Experience managing subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop engineering teams.
- Experience working to contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

- Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
