Account Manager

I am working with a client in Leeds, to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join a growing and successful organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, managing multiple stakeholder expectations, and ensuring a consistently high level of service delivery. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, acting as the key point of contact while identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships, improve performance, and support business growth.
This is a varied role that combines relationship management, commercial awareness, operational oversight and client engagement. Regular travel to client sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, becoming a trusted point of contact.
- Monitor account performance against agreed service levels and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and retention.
- Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns proactively.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Support the implementation of account development plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce reports, updates and performance information for clients and senior management.
- Resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes for all parties.
- Maintain awareness of market activity and competitor presence within key accounts.

- Previous experience in an Account Manager, Client Relationship Manager, Operations Manager or similar role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of client service delivery.
- Experience producing reports and working with CRM systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client locations as required.
