Anderson Knight is proud to partner with its client to recruit an Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a varied role, offering exposure to financial reporting, month-end processes and wider commercial finance activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial information is produced and reported in a timely manner. You will work closely with colleagues across the business, providing financial insight and supporting the delivery of key finance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
•    Take ownership of month-end and year-end processes.
•    Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances.
•    Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
•    Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
•    Monitor financial performance and provide analysis on variances against budget.
•    Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities.
•    Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in line with accounting standards.
•    Assist with statutory accounts and year-end audit requirements.
•    Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting procedures.
•    Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and provide support on financial queries.

The Ideal Candidate:
•    Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACCA or CIMA 
•    Previous experience in a similar accounting or management accounts role.
•    Strong understanding of financial reporting and month-end processes.
•    Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
•    Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
•    Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems.
•    Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
•    Able to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
•    A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the business.
