Accountant in Risley, Warrington

Accountant – Birchwood – Up to £35k DOE – Hybrid working

35 hours per week. (7 hours per day) Tuesday & Thursday & 1 other are office days, 2 days working from home.

Forrest Recruitment LTD are currently working in partnership with an award-winning manufacturing organisation, who are seeking to recruit a Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Partnering with the site leadership team on all aspects of financial performance.
• Managing weekly and monthly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Analysing factory performance and providing meaningful commentary on key movements and trends.
• Working with budget holders to monitor expenditure against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, risks and opportunities.
• Preparing month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments in line with Group policies.
• Producing monthly management reporting and presenting financial performance to the wider international finance team.
• Overseeing inventory reporting, identifying potential obsolescence and ensuring stock values are accurately reflected on the balance sheet.
• Managing site capital expenditure reporting, including assets under construction and the timely capitalisation of completed assets.
• Supporting product costing for goods manufactured at the site.
• Leading the site's planning and forecasting cycle.
• Providing financial analysis and insight on an ad hoc basis to support operational and commercial decisions.
• Working collaboratively with both UK and international finance stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity.
• Attending the site in Glasgow approximately 1–2 times per month.

Desirables

• Previous finance experience working in a similar role
• Part qualified accountant (CIMA)
• IT literate with emphasis on ERP Systems and MS Excel
• Highly organised with attention to detail
