This vacancy, the result of a permanent employee being medically unwell, and will be office based in East Lothian for 6 months and will report into the finance manager.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to be accountable for the smooth and efficient running of the transactional elements of the accounting function.  You will be responsible for liaising with internal stakeholders as well as dealing with suppliers in resolving queries.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Processing and issuing sales invoices to group companies.
Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
Liaising with the procurement team and suppliers to resolve invoice queries
Assisting with supplier payment runs and ensuring invoices are paid on time.
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day activities of the finance team.

The Requirements
We are looking for an experienced accounts assistant (minimum of 3 years of experienced based in the UK), who is available immediately or at short notice.  Our client is based in a rural location so a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential.  Ideally candidates will have an accounting qualification, however candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered.  Our client has a small and dedicated finance team and as such we are looking for individuals who are team players and who will roll their sleaves up in supporting the business in a widder context.

Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
