The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a permanent Accounts Clerk on behalf of our client based in Wrexham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual with previous accounts experience to join an established business, supporting the day-to-day running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the sales ledger, including raising invoices and allocating payments.
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
- Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments and managing customer accounts.
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and updating accounting systems.
- Handling customer and supplier account queries.
- Providing general accounts and administrative support.
- Assisting with any other ad hoc duties as required by the business.
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
- Experience working across sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, particularly when dealing with customers and suppliers.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Permanent position.
- Salary of £26,000–£28,000 DOE.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm.
- 40 hours per week.
- Immediate starts available.
