Additional Needs Support Tutor

Salary up to £48,770 per annum, depending on qualification status

We are seeking an Additional Needs Support Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to students with additional needs across a range of full- and part-time courses throughout the college. The ideal candidate will be innovative, organised, dependable, and have excellent communication skills.

You will ideally have experience teaching or supporting students with learning disabilities or difficulties within a further education environment. You will be skilled in assessing, implementing, and monitoring additional support strategies, completing exam access arrangements, advising on progression to further assessment, and delivering one-to-one support outside of class for post-16 students.

A key part of the role involves supporting the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and writing individual support plans to identify effective strategies for student success within the college environment.

You will be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject (or equivalent), have recent experience working with students with additional needs in a further education setting, and hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
