Job Title: Administrative Support Assistant
Location: Newcourt House Old Rydon Lane, Exeter, EX2 7JU
Trust: Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS FT
Payrate: Band 3, £14.05 per hour
Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (22.5 hours per week)
Duration: Start: ASAP End date: 3 Months from start date
Job Summary
Providing general administrative support within a busy office environment, working closely with the small Booking Team based at Newcourt House and maintaining regular contact with the clinical team to ensure the efficient delivery of patient care.
Key duties include:
- Processing, managing, registering, and uploading referrals onto Epic.
- Booking, amending, and cancelling patient appointments.
- Monitoring waiting lists and supporting appointment utilisation, including the management of cancellations and short-notice appointments.
- Reviewing patient records and ensuring demographic and clinical information is accurate and up to date.
- Managing telephone calls, voicemail messages, and email enquiries, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
- Maintaining confidential patient information in accordance with NHS policies, procedures, and data protection requirements.
- Assisting with general office administration to support the day-to-day running of the Podiatry Department.
- Working collaboratively with clinicians and administrative colleagues to ensure referrals and appointments are managed efficiently and within service targets.
- Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties. Additional administrative tasks may be required to meet the needs of the department and support the effective delivery of the Podiatry Service.
