Job Title: Administrator
Location: Moor Street Clinic, WR1 3DB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:00
Duration and Pay: £12.71 per hour, we expect this placement to last 3 months
We are currently seeking a motivated and organised Administrator to join the Worcestershire Community Dental Service (SPC) based at Moor Street Clinic in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or receptionist who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment and providing high-quality support to both patients and clinical teams.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Processing incoming referrals accurately and efficiently
· Managing telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional manner
· Providing general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and appointment coordination
· Supporting the dental reception team with patient bookings and related administrative tasks
· Managing electronic referrals and shared inboxes
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Previous administrative or reception experience, ideally within an NHS or healthcare setting
· Experience using patient administration systems (PAS), dental systems, or similar healthcare databases
· Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word
· Confident handling electronic referrals and inbox management
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
· Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced office environment
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
