This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Coordinator to join a technically driven environment that combines cutting-edge design, meticulous testing, and end-to-end production expertise.

Salary, Benefits and Working hours

  • £34,000 - £38,000
  • 37.5 hours per week: 8:00am – 5:00pm Mon to Weds, 4:30pm finish on Thursday and a 12:00pm finish on Friday’s
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Healthcare / Medical Cover
  • 4x salary Life Insurance (following 12-months of employment)

This role is commutable from: Burntwood, Lichfield, Aldridge, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham

Role Overview

You will be a proactive and organised Engineering Coordinator supporting the day-to-day activities of engineering and manufacturing teams. This is a varied role that combines engineering support, production planning, administration, customer communication, and continuous improvement activities.

The Engineering Coordinator will act as a key link between engineering, production, quality, and customers, ensuring projects and manufacturing activities run smoothly. This position would suit someone with a background in production planning, manufacturing coordination, engineering support, or a similar technical environment.

Engineering Coordinator Experience, Skills & Attributes

  • A level of current or previous production planning experience or similar
  • Experience working in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering
  • FMEA experience would be ideal, but isn’t essential
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Engineering Coordinator Key Responsibilities – but not limited to

Engineering & Operational Support

  • Provide coordination and admin support to engineering/operations teams, including document and change control
  • Maintain engineering records and support projects, tracking actions to completion

Production Planning & Coordination

  • Support production scheduling and monitor progress against customer demand
  • Coordinate information across production, engineering, procurement, and quality, supporting capacity planning

Customer & Internal Communication

  • Act as key contact for order updates, technical queries, and project status
  • Prepare reports, meeting notes, and support customer visits, audits, and reviews

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Support investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and FMEA reviews
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and ensure compliance with procedures

General Administration

  • Maintain records, KPIs, and ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate meetings, follow up actions, and support wider business needs
