Advanced Practitioner | Child in Need Team | Harrow | £41.10 per Hour
Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Child in Need Team in Harrow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated social work professional looking to take on a leadership role within a supportive and dynamic service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing frontline practitioners while maintaining a small caseload of complex children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, mentor and provide professional guidance to Social Workers within the Child in Need Team.
- Manage a small caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Promote high standards of practice and support continuous improvement across the team.
- Undertake complex assessments, risk analysis and care planning.
- Provide oversight and support in managing safeguarding concerns and child protection matters.
- Chair and contribute to professional meetings, including multi-agency forums where required.
- Ensure case recording and report writing are completed to a high standard and within statutory timescales.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England Registration.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
- Strong experience managing Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
- Previous experience supporting, coaching or mentoring practitioners.
- Excellent assessment, analytical and communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and safeguarding procedures.
