Job OverviewWe are seeking Semi-Skilled Aerospace Operatives to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will ideally have previous experience within an aerospace, engineering or manufacturing environment and will be comfortable working with tools, components and production processes.
This role would suit candidates with practical engineering or manufacturing experience who are looking to develop their skills within the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the manufacture, assembly and finishing of aerospace components.
- Carry out a range of semi-skilled production and assembly tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools and basic manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
- Work from engineering drawings, work instructions and production documentation.
- Carry out drilling, deburring, riveting, fastening and basic fitting activities as required.
- Measure and inspect components using basic measuring equipment.
- Ensure components are produced to the required quality and dimensional standards.
- Identify and report defects, damage or quality issues.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all company, health & safety and quality procedures.
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Good practical and mechanical aptitude.
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work accurately and consistently.
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety.
- Reliable and willing to learn new skills.
- Previous experience within the aerospace industry.
- Experience working with aircraft components or structures.
- Experience with drilling, riveting, deburring, fastening or basic assembly.
- Experience reading engineering drawings.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.
- Previous experience working with aluminium or other aerospace materials.
- Relevant engineering, manufacturing or technical qualifications.
- Good work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Practical, hands-on approach.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Safety-conscious.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to production requirements.
The ideal candidate will have some previous engineering, manufacturing or production experience and a strong interest in developing a career within aerospace.
