Air Conditioning Installation Engineer
Perigon Search Ltd
If you're an air conditioning install engineer - splits, VRV/VRF, DX, running your own jobs on-site - and you're tired of your evenings belonging to a call-out rota, here's a role worth reading about.
You know how to run an install properly. You turn up to a site, work out what the drawing needs, get it in cleanly and commissioned, and handle the client without anyone holding your hand. What you're probably tired of is being one engineer in a firm big enough that nobody sees any of that - and being on the phone at 9pm because the rota says you're on call.
There's no call-out rota here. Your time outside the job is yours, unless you choose to pick up overtime, and the overtime pays properly. You'd be joining a small team, reporting straight to the Directors, on a mix of retail fit-outs, high-street banks and commercial sites. Small enough that your work is visible and there's a real route to leading jobs and teams as the business grows.
What you'll be doing
Installing and commissioning split, VRV/VRF and DX systems across London. Retail fit-outs, bank branches and commercial sites. Running jobs from start to finish, and leading a small team on the bigger ones. You'll be client-facing and coordinating on-site, so it's not head-down-only work.
Mainly London. Some UK travel comes up when a national contract lands - it's planned in advance, paid, and accommodation's covered. Occasional, not a way of life.
What you'll need
- Proven install experience across splits, VRV/VRF and DX
- The ability to run a job on your own on-site
- A full UK driving licence
- Chiller experience is a bonus if you've got it, but it's not what gets you the job
What you'll get
- Up to £55,000 basic depending on experience
- Company van (Transit Custom) and fuel card, personal use allowed
- Overtime paid regularly for those who want it
- 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Pension, 4% matched
- Full manufacturer training - Daikin, Mitsubishi, Samsung and others
