Air Conditioning Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Manager to oversee the delivery, performance and technical management of air conditioning and HVAC services across a key client contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC/AC professional who is confident managing engineers, subcontractors, client relationships and technical compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of air conditioning and HVAC services across the contract.
- Lead and manage a team of AC/HVAC engineers and specialist subcontractors.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and remedial works.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
- Manage statutory compliance, technical standards and relevant legislation.
- Monitor CAFM systems, ensuring maintenance records and job updates are accurate and up to date.
- Manage subcontractors, including performance, quality, RAMS and compliance.
- Act as the key technical point of contact for the client.
- Attend client meetings and provide regular updates on service performance.
- Manage budgets, quotations and additional works where required.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure engineers have the appropriate training, qualifications and certification.
- Support with technical projects, installations and lifecycle works.
About You
- Previous experience in an Air Conditioning Manager, HVAC Manager, AC Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and HVAC systems.
- Relevant AC/HVAC qualifications and F-Gas certification.
- Experience managing engineers and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Strong organisational and commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy FM environment.
Desirable
- Experience within a commercial facilities management environment.
- Experience working on large corporate or critical environments.
- Electrical or mechanical engineering knowledge.
- IOSH/NEBOSH or similar health & safety qualification.
- Experience managing a team and client account.
- Full UK driving licence.
