We are looking for a motivated and reliable Water Management Operative to join our Water Management Services team. In this role, you will support the delivery of drainage asset inventory, condition, and mapping surveys across the UK's highways network.
Working as part of a survey team, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the highways and drainage sector, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
As this role involves nationwide projects, applicants must be willing to travel, stay away from home when required, and work a mixture of day and night shifts.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting drainage asset inventory, condition, and mapping surveys across the UK highways network.
- Following instructions from Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
- Undertaking training and coaching to develop technical knowledge and operational competence.
- Operating and maintaining survey equipment, reporting any faults or defects promptly.
- Working in accordance with standard operating procedures, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Assisting with additional project activities and operational tasks as required.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, Supervisors, and Contracts Managers.
- Representing the business professionally when interacting with residents, road users, and other stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- CSCS Operative Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.
- Ability to work both day and night shifts.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
