Airfreight Pricing Executive

Prime Placers Ltd are currently recruiting for a client in the Farnborough area, for an experienced Airfreight Pricing specialist who has experience in Imports, Exports & Crosstrade. Strong operational knowledge with commercial acumen is required, with the ability to deliver accurate and competitive pricing solutions to their suppliers.

As Airfreight Pricing Executive, you will be responsible for preparing competitive and profitable airfreight quotations and you will work closely with the Sales, Operations and Commercial teams, as well as airlines, overseas agents and other service providers, to develop pricing solutions that meet customer requirements while achieving the company's commercial objectives.

You will manage day-to-day pricing enquiries, support customer tenders and contract negotiations, monitor market rates and ensure that all quotations are issued accurately and within agreed deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in airfreight pricing or freight forwarding, with strong numerical and analytical skills, and a good understanding of airline tariffs, freight costs and profit margin management.  

The Successful Candidate will have:-

• Previous experience in airfreight pricing, freight forwarding, shipping or a similar logistics-related commercial role.
• A good understanding of airfreight import and export processes, airline tariffs, routing and freight cost structures.
• Experience preparing airfreight quotations and analysing end-to-end shipment costs.
• Knowledge of airline surcharges, fuel charges, security fees, handling charges and other applicable airfreight costs.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of gross profit, mark-ups and margin management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage multiple pricing requests, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive and customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Desirable Experience:-

• Experience pricing general cargo, time-sensitive shipments or specialised freight.
• Knowledge of airfreight pricing systems and freight management software.
• Experience supporting tenders, RFQs, RFPs and customer contract pricing.
• Familiarity with international trade, customs procedures and air cargo documentation.
• Experience working with international agents and airline procurement teams.  

Benefits:

This position offers a basic salary up to £35,000 per annum, with a very competitive commission structure.
