Shift Pattern: Thursday to Sunday, 05:00 – 13:00
Rate: £16.00ph PAYE

Client-Specific Information
Our client, a major international airport in Scotland, requires experienced coach drivers to support its airside operations over the summer season. This is a fixed term assignment running from 3rd August to 30th September 2026, with potential extension into October depending on project requirements. Approximately two weeks of training will be completed prior to the start date, and Airside Driving Permit (ADP) training is provided as part of the onboarding process.
Job Description
The Airside Coach Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient and professional transportation of passengers and crew between the terminal and aircraft, operating within a live airside environment. This is a safety-critical, customer-facing role and drivers are expected to maintain the highest standards of conduct, presentation and compliance at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers and crew airside between designated transfer points, adhering to airfield speed limits, routes and procedures at all times.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or incidents promptly.
- Complete necessary logging of data at relevant stages of the coaching operation
- Deliver a professional, courteous service to all passengers, crew and airport staff.
- Comply fully with airside safety regulations, security requirements and site rules.
- Complete all required training, documentation and competency checks, and maintain the validity of all passes and permits throughout the assignment.
- Safely monitor boarding and disembarkation of passengers where required
- Using only the designated drop off points preventing any security breaches
Requirements
- Full UK Category D (PCV) driving licence — a clean licence is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a full Airside Pass and Airside Driving Permit — this requires a full 5-year checkable work history, the right to work in the UK and a Basic DBS check.
- Requirement to achieve DVLA Group 2 medical
- Good written and spoken English.
- Excellent timekeeping, reliability and a professional, customer-focused manner.
- Availability for the full assignment period, including approximately two weeks of training prior to the August start.
- Living within a commutable distance of Edinburgh Airport.
