Animal Care and Grounds Assistant - Outskirts of Maldon, Essex
Permanent, Part Time
20 Hours Per Week - £13.00 per Hour

Are you an animal lover who enjoys working outdoors and getting stuck into a variety of practical tasks?

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Animal Care and Grounds Assistant to join a small, friendly team based on the outskirts of Maldon.

This is a hands on role that would suit someone who enjoys caring for animals and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well presented environment.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
4 hours per day/20 hours per week

Duties will include:

• Feeding and caring for dogs on site
• Putting dogs into and out of kennels
• Cleaning and maintaining kennel areas
• Feeding chickens and collecting eggs
• Grass cutting using a ride on lawn mower
• Strimming and general grounds maintenance
• Manual weeding and upkeep of outdoor areas
• Ensuring animal welfare standards are maintained at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be a genuine animal lover with a caring and patient nature
• Be comfortable handling dogs of various breeds and sizes
• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
• Have a good level of physical fitness
• Have previous animal care experience, although this is not essential
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport due to the rural location
